WeWatch

Easily one of the most enjoyable projects I’ve ever worked on, WeWatch is an early warning security system in your pocket.

Available to download for free, WeWatch allows local community members to log suspicious activity in under 20 seconds, instantly alerting anyone else with the app within a specified distance.

The brainchild of a former veteran and a Cairns police officer, WeWatch is a classic story of two mates who got fed up hearing the eye watering crime rates plaguing their local community and decided to do something about it.

Built in collaboration with Darren from Rogue Labs, I was initially brought in to develop a brand and basic style guide for Darren to build on.

Knowing the app would live or die based on it’s word of mouth or ‘shareability’ factor, I asked the founders if they would mind me generating some additional names for the app.

When the boys saw the additional effort and care I took during the initial design phase, they asked me to expand the project scope by taking the app from rough concept to a production ready MVP.
